The Annual General Meetings of the Design Research Society are open to all current members of the society. The purpose of General Meetings are: to notify members of the outcome of annual elections for Council membership and officers; approve the accounts for the previous year; receive reports on the previous year's activities from Council Officers; and transact any other business which has been included in the agenda made available to members before the meeting. The President of the DRS normally chairs General Meetings.
The AGM is an opportunity for members to comment on the activities, finances, and strategic direction of the Society. AGMs also represent a chance to join the DRS Council through the election process. Over the following years we are seeking better international representation on Council so please do get in touch if you would like to contribute to the activities and governance of the DRS.
The next Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held at our biennial conference (DRS2018) in Limerick, Ireland from 25th-28th June 2018.
