The Design Innovation Management SIG (DIMSIG) focuses on the broad area of Design Management research including: Strategic Design, Innovation Management, Design Thinking, Design Policy, Service Design and Design for Social Change to allow maximum participation of its members.
The main objective of the DIMSIG is to serve as a platform for knowledge creation within design innovation management and to foster collaboration of its members and interested parties by hosting conferences, workshops and online sharing of current research within the broad field of design management.
The Design Innovation Management SIG together with the Design Society’s Design Management SIG form the Design Management Academy which acts as an umbrella to facilitate conferences and activities by members of SIGs’ from both Societies. The latest conference was held in Hong Kong in June 2017:
